Founder & President of the CU Skate Forge club on campus. Our mission is to build skateboarding obstacles with sustainable materials and to make skateboarding more accessible to students on campus.

Starting and growing CU Skate Forge has been an incredible journey for me. This makers and skaters club has been an opportunity to combine my passions for community building, design, and skateboarding into something truly impactful. Over the past two years, I’ve taken on responsibilities like managing budgets, navigating university approvals, completing extensive training, and pitching my vision to administrators, police, and fire officials. I’ve also tackled insurance requirements, coordinated marketing efforts, led tabling events, cold-called sponsors, and facilitated club meetings.

Beyond the logistics, I’ve run our social media accounts, designed graphics, recruited new members, and even built ramps and a full-sized half-pipe (hauling and assembling it from scratch!). One of the accomplishments I’m most proud of is creating a positive, supportive, and fun community where people of all skill levels feel welcome. Growing this club has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
